NEW CLINIC REMODELING CAMPAIGN – CLICK HERE TO DONATE!
The Division of Pediatric Dentistry in the Department of Orofacial Sciences is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting clinic remodeling campaign to completely renovate the eight clinical rooms at UCSF Parnassus where residents spend the majority of their training.
We are extremely fortunate that Neil Katsura and Dave Perry have agreed to spearhead this campaign. We are hoping to raise $700,000 to fund a much-needed clinic remodel which will include new chairs/units, new cabinetry, and redesigned operatories. This will both enhance resident training by providing them with the latest equipment and enhance the patient experience by providing a comfortable, modern, child-friendly space for our young patients.

Your gift goes to support the Global Oral Health project which gives the residents an amazing opportunity to participate in providing oral health care around the globe to communities without access to oral health care. Dr. Neil Katsura leads a group of residents every year to go with him to Guatemala to provide free dental care to rural villages. Past experiences include treating over 1700 children in rural communities. This is an important part of the division’s mission to advance oral health worldwide and gives an invaluable and lasting experience to the residents which we hope they will carry forward in their future careers.

The Pediatric Fund for Excellence provides support for the Division’s mission including:
*Educational opportunities for our students (e.g., to cover costs to attend scientific conferences, courses outside UCSF, invited speakers)
*Pediatric research projects by residents that lead to new approaches and treatments for children
*Clinic supplies/instruments to help decrease resident tool kit fees
