Admissions Policies and Application Procedures

The Department of Orofacial Sciences annually accepts five postgraduate students into the Pediatric Dentistry Program which begins on July 1 of each year. Completed applications must be received by the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) by September 15th, 2015.  PASS applications can be downloaded from the PASS website. Applicant Agreement forms from the National Matching Service may be obtained by calling (416) 977-3431.

Admission requirements include:

  • DDS, DMD or equivalent degree
  • Submission of application through PASS and National Matching Services.
  • Following PASS instructions, send to PASS: Dental school transcript, National Board Examination scores, Three PASS evaluation forms (including a Dean's evaluation form)
  • Undergraduate transcripts
  • For applicants whose native language is not English, a minimum score of 250 (computer test) is required on the Test for English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

A Certificate of Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry and/or a Master's or PhD degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences are awarded upon satisfactory completion of the postdoctoral program. Graduates are educationally eligible for examination by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
