Assistant Professor Nikki Fallah and pediatric dental residents attended as pre-doctoral second year dental students performed dental examination, prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene instruction and sealant for children from all over Bay Area communities. In addition to the complementary dental services, the children received balloons, goody bags, toys as well as learned about dental hygiene in a positive and fun environment.
Prof. Ralf J. Radlanski, an honorary guest speaker from Charitè University of Medicine Berlin in Germany, visited UCSF Pediatric Dentistry and gave a special lecture on "Craniofacial morphogenesis and formation of habits".
Dr. Radlanski is a Professor and Head of the Department of Craniofacial Developmental Biology at Charitè University of Medicine Berlin, and an orthodontist at the clinic Adentics in Berlin. The UCSF Residents are grateful for their opportunity to learn from the German premier orthodontist and an international leader in craniofacial development.
