About

The Division of Pediatric Dentistry, within the Department of Orofacial Sciences, at the University of California San Francisco is comprised of a vibrant group of faculty, residents, staff and fellows, devoted to children's oral health needs. Our predoctoral program teaches pediatric dentistry to UCSF dental students, providing an introduction to this vital and fascinating specialty. Our postgraduate program is a three year program leading to a certificate in pediatric dentistry and a MS degree. It offers a unique combination of advanced training in the care of children in the clinical and hospital setting, along with an outstanding course offering in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Our faculty are actively involved in patient care as well as in both the MS and PhD programs in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Our clinics provide care to the community.

Our goal is to train dentists in the care of children’s oral health, develop tomorrow’s leaders in pediatric dentistry, and to advance the science of pediatric dental oral and craniofacial health.
